Check the CN991 and S1034 on the Front board.

Does the POWER indicator light?
YES

NO

Are the pins and of the CN991 YES on the Front board short-circuited

Go to the "Power Supply Operation".

Can the tray be opened/closed with the OPEN/CLOSE button?
YES

NO

Go to the "OPEN/CLOSE Operation".

Can the SOURCE disc drive read the TOC of the CD?
YES

NO

Go to the "Reproduction Operation"

Can the REC/PLAY disc drive play the CD?
YES

NO

Is the audio output from NO the CD in the REC/PLAY disc drive?
YES

Go to the "Audio Operation".

Can the data be written in the REC/PLAY disc drive?
YES

NO

Go to the "Write Operation".

Check the general operations.

Are the front keys and indicators normal?

NO

Go to the "Front Key /Indicator Operation".

YES
