3 Plug the power cord into a 220230V, 50Hz, grounded (2-prong)
AC outlet.
2 Unwrap the roll of fax paper and insert it in the compartment.

Make sure the hubs on each side of the compartment fit into the ends of the roll. The hub on the left side is mounted on a spring to allow for insertion. Important: The roll must be placed so that the leading edge of the paper feeds from over the top of the roll. (The paper is only coated on one side for printing. If the roll is placed upside down, the paper will come out blank after printing.)

Caution: The mains outlet (socket-outlet) shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible. The fax does not have a power on/off switch, so the power is turned on and off by simply plugging in or unplugging the power cord.

4 Attach the original document support by inserting the tabs into the
holes at the top, rear of the fax.

4. Loading the recording paper
1 Grasp the finger hold on the front and centre of the paper compartment cover, and pull up to open the cover. Remove the packing paper from the paper compartment.

Caution! If you are replacing the paper, do not touch the metal strip in the compartment. It may be hot if a document has just been printed.
4 Close the cover. A short length of the fax paper will feed out and
be cut off. (If this doesnt happen, repeat the loading procedure.)
