HF2 BR (Hi-Fi Filtration Bass Reflex) system Ordinary bass reflex type speakers emit an unpleasant port noise in addition to necessary low-frequency sound. The TS-W50 adopts an HF2 BR system in which an air cavity (2), duct (2), and port (2) just in front of the port (1) compose an acoustic low pass filter. The HF2BR system achieves a remarkable reduction in the unpleasant port noise by making low frequency-sound pass through this filter.
