Using the Audio Output Jacks
L These jacks are used for connecting a standard stereo amplifier. Control of STEREO/MONO/ SAP, VOLUME and MUTE are retained at the TV. These jacks relay the audio signal of all programs being displayed on the TV screen. (AUDIO OUTPUT JACKS are located on the rear of the cabinet.)
CONNECTIONS
(1) Before connecting the cord, turn on the TV and adjust the VOLUME control on the TV for a moderate listening level. (2) Turn off the TV and connect the audio cord to the AUDIO LINE OUTPUT JACKS on the TV. (3) Turn the TV set and stereo amplifier on. (4) If you desire, you can turn off the sound to the TV�s internal speakers by SPEAKER mode. See pages 13 - 14. (5) Adjust the VOLUME control on the stereo amplifier for a moderate listening level. (6) Control of the audio can be done using the audio controls (STEREO/MONO/SAP, VOLUME, and MUTE), from either the remote control, or directly from the TV set. NOTE: � For detailed information on the connection and use of auxiliary equipment, refer to the operation manuals of the equipment being used. � When connecting monaural equipment to the AUDIO INPUT or OUTPUT of this set, use an audio connection cord and plug adapter as shown below. � For optimal sound quality, it is recommended to keep the TV�s audio output level high.
