Self-timer recording
This is for recording using the timer.
You can record still pictures on an SD card using the timer.
¬ Rotate the mode dial to select
. Press the button in the center to display the icon shown in the figure.

Press the cursor button left to select the [�] self-timer icon.
The [�10] icon flashes orange, then lights white. � Each time the left cursor button is pressed, the indication changes by one setting in the following order: [�10]>[�2]>setting canceled. � �10: Starts recording after 10 seconds � �2: Starts recording after 2 seconds

Press the record button.
After the indication lamp and the [�10] or [�2] indication flash for the time which has been set, recording will start. After recording, the self-timer is canceled. 1 Indication lamp � When the record button is pressed halfway and then all the way, the subject will be brought into focus when the record button was pressed halfway. � When the record button is pressed all the way at once, the subject will be focused just before the recording.

To stop the timer midway through
Press the [MENU] button. (The self-timer setting is canceled.)
� If you turn off the power, the self-timer standby mode is canceled. � Depending on the time taken to bring the subject into focus, the recording may take longer than set to start. � Setting the self-timer to [�2] is a good way to prevent image shake when the record button is pressed while using a tripod etc.
