IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
ALL APPLIANCES
1. Proper Installation Be sure your appliance is properly installed and grounded by a qualified technician. 2. Never Use Appliance for Warming or Heating the Room. 3. Do Not Leave Children AloneChildren should not be alone or unattended in the area where the appliance is in use. They should never be allowed to sit or stand on any part of the appliance. 4. Wear Protective ApparelLoose fitting or hanging garments should never be worn while using appliance. 5. User ServicingDo not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specifically recommended in the manual. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified technician. 6. Storage in or on ApplianceFlammable materials should not be stored in oven or near surface units. 7. Do Not Use Water on Grease FiresSmother fire or flame, or use dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher. 8. Use Only Dry PotholdersMoist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may result in burns from steam. Do not let potholder touch burner. Do not use a towel or other bulky cloth.

SURFACE COOKING UNITS
1. Use Proper Pan SizeSelect utensils having flat bottoms large enough to cover the surface burner flame. The use of undersized utensils will expose a portion of the burner flame to direct contact and may result in ignition of clothing. Proper relationship of utensil to burner will also improve efficiency. 2. Never Leave Surface Burners UnattendedBoilover causes smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite. 3. Protective LinersDo not use aluminum foil to line oven bottom except as suggested in the manual. Improper installation of these liners may result in a risk of electrical shock, or fire. 4. Glazed Cooking UtensilsOnly certain types of glass, ceramic, earthware, or other glazed utensils are suitable for rangetop service without breaking due to sudden change in temperature. 5. Utensil Handles Should be Turned Inward and Not Extend Over Adjacent Surface BurnersTo reduce the risk of burns, ignition of flammable materials, and spillage due to unintentional contact with the utensil, the handle of a utensil should be positioned so that it is turned inward, and does not extend over adjacent surface units. 6. Clean rangetop with caution. To avoid steam burns, do not use a wet sponge or cloth to wipe up spill on a hot cooking area. 7. Do not place aluminum foil or food packaged in aluminum foil directly on the flame.

OVEN
1. Use Care When Opening DoorLet hot air or steam escape before removing or replacing food. 2. Do Not Heat Unopened Food ContainersBuild-up of pressure may cause container to burst and result in injury. 3. Protective LinersDo not use aluminum foil to line oven bottom. Improper installation of these liners can cause fire. 4. Keep Oven Vents Ducts Unobstructed. 5. Placement of Oven RacksAlways place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. 6. Do not touch the interior surfaces of the oven during or immediately after use. Do not let clothing or other flammable material contact the bake and broil burner. 7. Other areas of the oven can become hot enough to cause burns, such as vent openings, oven door, and oven racks.

Delayed Ignition
Surface Burners Burner should ignite within 4 seconds. If burner does not ignite within 4 seconds turn control knob to OFF position and follow directions in Cleaning Surface Burners and Before Calling for Service section. Try burner again. If burner still does not ignite in 4 seconds, contact an authorized servicer. Bake and Broil Burner Flame Allow no more than 4060 seconds before burner ignites and heat is felt. To check for heat, open oven door to first stop and place hand over oven door. If heat is not felt, turn temperature knob to OFF position. If burner repeatedly fails to ignite, contact an authorized servicer.
