Removing the blade
1 Press the blade. Maintenance 2 Remove the beard cuttings. 3 Press the lever (a) and remove the beard cuttings from between the blades. 4 Apply 1 or 2 drops of oil to the places indicated by the arrows.
8 Clean the inner blade and outer blade. 9 Reassemble. 10 Lubricate. � In order to prevent oil residue or oil on the blade surface from getting on your skin, wipe excess oil off with a tissue before using the shaver for the first time and after lubricating it. � The oil will not affect your skin.

5 Insert the projection on the blade into the depression on the body. 6 Press until you hear a click.
8 Removing the Ni-MH battery for disposal
Disconnect the trimmer from the outlet when removing the battery. * Fully discharge the battery. 1 Remove the trimmer head (shaver head). <Use the head exchange button.> 2 Remove the metal plate. <Use a flat-tipped screwdriver.> 3 Remove the screw (PTP2�8). <Use a Phillips screwdriver.> 4 Remove the housing (A and B). <Use your hands.> 5 Remove the motor and circuit block. <Use your hands.> 6 Remove the battery (for recycling). <Use your hands.>
7 Exchanging the shaver head (ER216 only)
Removing the trimmer head 1 Press both buttons. 2 Remove the trimmer head (shaver head). Attaching the shaver head 3 Attach the shaver head while it is still in the protective cap and press until you hear a click. 4 Remove the protective cap.
Shaving around the beard
5 Pay extra attention when shaving around the beard. If the trimmer head is used, 0.6 to 0.8 mm of hair is left. If the shaver head is used, the remaining hair can be shaved. (Hair longer than this may not be shaved neatly.)
