Choosing Effects
Use the following procedure to select different effects in the EF-303: 1. 2. 3. Press BANK so it�s lit�the bank number blinks on the screen. Press Button 1, 2, 3 or 4 to select one of the four banks�the patch number blinks on the screen. Press Button 1, 2, 3 or 4 to select the desired patch. Note: Once a bank and patch are selected, the BANK button goes dark.
Listening to the Effects
Use the following procedure to listen to the built-in effects: 1. Turn the EFFECT BALANCE knob to the EFFECTS position. 2. Select Patch 3-2 SLICER + PAN by pressing BANK, Button 3 and then Button 2. 3. 4. Set the EFFECT GRAB switch to ON. Slowly turn up the OUTPUT knob to listen to the now-effected sound.
Connecting the EF-303 to a Sound Source
Use the following procedure to connect the EF-303 to a turntable or CD player: 1. 2. 3. Turn the INPUT, OUTPUT and PHONES knobs all the way down to MIN. Make sure the EFFECT GRAB switch is set to OFF, and that the EFFECT BALANCE knob is set to DIRECT. On the back of the EF-303, move the SOURCE SELECT switch to a setting appropriate for the sound device you�re using: PHONO LINE MIC 4. Turntable Synth, sound module, CD, etc. Microphone
Note: Depending on your musical content, the effect may not be immediately obvious. 5. Try turning the EFFECTS CONTROL knobs to get different sounds: RATE/LOW CUTOFF/MID RESO/HIGH The slice rate will change The location of the sound will change. The slice level will change.
Connect the sound device to the left and right INPUT jacks on the back of the EF-303.
Note: When using a turntable, connect a ground cable to the GND connector on the back of the EF-303. 5. 6. Press Play on the sound device. Slowly turn up the EF-303�s INPUT knob until the signal just barely lights its PEAK indicator. Now slowly turn up the PHONES or OUTPUT knobs to the desired level in your headphones or speakers.
