S1 guide: The tape runs without tape slack on the upper side of the guide. S2 guide: The tape is in contact with the upper flange of the guide but curls very little. S3 guide: The tape is in contact with the lower flange of the guide but curls very little. S4 guide (tension regulator guide): Even tape tension is applied to the tape.
Drum: The tape runs along the rabbet guide of drum without floating or off from the lead.
T1 guide: The tape runs without tape slack on the upper side of the guide. T2 guide: The tape is in contact with the upper flange of the guide but curls very little. T3 guide: The tape runs in the center of the upper and lower flanges. Capstan shaft (pinchpress mode): Be sure not to damage the tape by tape wrinkle when the pinch roller is pressed against the capstan shaft. T4 guide: The tape is in contact with the lower flange of the guide but curls very little. T5 guide: The tape is in contact with the lower flange of the guide but curls very little. T6 guide: The tape is in contact with the upper flange of the guide but curls very little.
