(14) CUE1-B/EXIT After a CUE POINT is memorized, pressing CUE1-B/EXIT (14) in PLAY mode, repeats the section in a SEAMLESS LOOP between the CUE POINT and the POINT where CUE1-B/EXIT (14) was pressed.Press CUE1-B/EXIT (14) or PLAY/PAUSE (6) to exit the loop. Press it a third time to set a new CUE 1-B POINT and restart the SEAMLESS LOOP with the new CUE 1-B POINT. (15) RETURN : RETURN (15) plays a loop from a previously saved CUE POINT or loop. Press the RETURN (15) after setting a CUE POINT and the SEAMLESS LOOP or CUE POINT will play. (16) CUE1/PREVIEW: With the unit in PLAY mode a CUE POINT can be memorized from FLY CUE1 (13) or by pressing PLAY/PAUSE (6) and using the JOG WHEEL (10) by turning it to the selected part. Pressing CUE1/PREVIEW (16) will cause the CD Player to enter PAUSE mode, the PLAY/PAUSE (6) blinks green at the memorized CUE POINT the CUE1 button will glow red. Holding down CUE1/PREVIEW (16) changes the CUE1 function to PREVIEW allowing you to hear the music from the CUE POINT by holding the CUE1 button down. Releasing CUE1/PREVIEW (16) returns to the CUE POINT. (17) HOT START CUE1: To instantly PLAY from a CUE POINT from CUE1/PREVIEW (16) or FLY CUE1 (13) button(s) in PLAY or PAUSE mode. When you press the HOT START CUE1 (17) button after a CUE POINT is in memory, the unit will play from the CUE POINT. However HOT START CUE1 (17) works like RETURN (15) if a SEAMLESS LOOP playing. (18) AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS: Pressing AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS (18) has three modes of playback: NORMAL, AUTO CUE SINGLE, and CONTINUOUS mode(s). In NORMAL mode the unit will play the whole CD and stop at the end , pressing the button once will bring you into AUTO CUE SINGLE mode, the CD Player will play a single track and CUE the next track, pressing it one more time will bring you into CONTINUOUS mode the whole CD plays from beginning to end and repeats. Pressing it a third time brings the player back into NORMAL mode (19) SET CUE: To the set the CUE for the three other HOT STARTS CUE 2-4 (20) or CUE1/PREVIEW (16). You can use SET CUE (19) followed by pressing one of the HOT STARTS: CUE 2-4 (20) or you can use the DIRECT ACCESS (9) keys to manually set the CUE POINT before selecting which CUE button your going to use. Note the only way set a CUE POINT for CUE1/PREVIEW (16) with SET CUE (19) is manually, when you need to use the CUE1 as a HOT START, use HOT START CUE1 (17) and for CUE2, CUE3, OR CUE4 (20) press the button(s) again to play from the CUE POINT selected. (20) HOT STARTS CUE 2-4: HOT STARTS CUE 2-4 (20) can be used to set three different CUE POINTS using the SET CUE (19) button and the HOT STARTS CUE 2-4 (20) button(s). Press SET CUE (19) and then press a CUE button. You can set up to three CUE POINTS. As your music is playing, if you would like it to jump to one of your set CUE POINTS, simply press that individual CUE button and the music will jump to that point. HOT STARTS can preview the saved CUE POINTS from each HOT START, button by pressing and hold the button. (21) ROBO START: ROBO START (21) lets you alternate play between two CD Players (one track from each player). To turn it on press ROBO START (21) then press PLAY/PAUSE (6) on either CD Player to execute it. The next CD Player will PLAY and when PAUSED the other CD Player starts again from where you PAUSED the track, you can also play a set CUE POINT using ROBOSTART (21) from the other player. In AUTO CUE
SINGLE mode when the track on the first player ends, the next track CUES and the second CD Player will start playing. When that track ends the next track gets CUED and the next track plays on the first player. (22) MASTER TEMPO BUTTON: This control locks in the music�s pitch even when the tempo changes. You can vary the beat with no change in vocal or instrument tone. (23) PITCH: Pushing the PITCH (23) button activates the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25). The pitch of the CD will change according to the position of the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25). (24) VARIABLE PITCH SELECTOR: 4%, 8% and 16% Use the 4%, 8% and 16% (13) buttons to assign the percent the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE will have. The 4% button will assign +/-4% to the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE. The 8% button will assign +/-8% to the pitch control slide. The 16% button will assign +/-16% to the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25). The PITCH (23) button must be on, shown by a red LED, for the 4%, 8% and 16% (24) buttons to take effect. (25) PITCH CONTROL SLIDE: Moving the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25) either up or down will change the pitch (+/-) according to the VARIABLE PITCH SELECTOR (24). (26) BPM/PITCH (PITCH BEND + / -): BPM/PITCH (PITCH BEND +/-) (26) button(s) has two modes: BPM or PITCH BEND. Pressing both buttons simultaneously will change the mode to BPM, using the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25) will raise or lower the BPM or PITCH, this can be used when the PITCH (23) button is off by using the PITCH BEND buttons. When in PITCH mode the button(s) for PITCH BEND will raise or lower the pitch percentage + or - 4% from the existing pitch setting. When using the PITCH BEND button(s) the PITCH (23) LED will flash. The DISPLAY (4) shows levels for the active function.
EFFECTS: The EFFECT BUTTONS (27-32) allow you to
select one of five different effects: ZOOM (27), FILTER (28), REVERSE (29), BRAKE (30), , SCRATCH (32). (27) ZOOM: The ZOOM (27) effect changes the delay time by rotating the jog wheel, mixing a short delay with the playback sound. This function allows you to produce the sound of a JET ENGINE (FLANGER EFFECT) using a single CD Player. When held down the DISPLAY (4) shows the effects parameters for precise tuning. (28) FILTER: The FILTER (28) effect allows you to change the CUT OFF FREQUENCY of the playback sound when the jog wheel is rotated. This allows the DJ to extract and play back specific parts from the playback sound. When held down the DISPLAY (4) shows the effects parameters for precise tuning. (29) REVERSE: The REVERSE (29) effect plays your musical selection BACKWARDS. When the effect is activated the music will play BACKWARDS until it is released. (30) THE BRAKE: The BRAKE (30) effect slows down a CD just like a RECORD does when being turned off. (31) THE HOLD: Press HOLD (31) to HOLD ZOOM (27) or FILTER (28) effects after pressing either one. To HOLD an effect until you press the button again to release the effect. (32) SCRATCH : Press SCRATCH (32) to �SCRATCH� the music. Use the JOG WHEEL (10) just like a RECORD to SCRATCH the music as it plays.
