Control panel. Grease filter (inside the extraction grille). Lighting unit. Pull-out steam deflector. Fastener for opening and closing grille (The blue arrows show the direction of opening). Model AKR 680 is not fitted with its own extraction unit (motor). It must therefore be connected to an external extraction unit.
MODEL WITH ONE MOTOR: ONE CARBON FILTER
MOUNTING OR RENEWING THE CARBON FILTER:
Carbon filters cannot be used with model AKR 680. 1. Unplug the appliance or switch off the mains power supply. 2. Pull out the stream deflector. 3. Open the rear extraction grille. 4. If a carbon filter is already mounted and needs substituting, turn anticlockwise. 5. If the filter is not already mounted: insert the carbon filter above the motor-protection grille. Line up the reference mark on the edge of the carbon filter (a) with the arrow printed on the cowl (b). Then turn clockwise. 6. Close up the rear extraction grille.

MODEL WITH TWO MOTORS: TWO CARBON FILTERS
RENEWING BULBS
1. Unplug the appliance or switch off the mains power supply. 2. Pull out the stream deflector. 3. Open the rear extraction grille. 4. Remove the burnt-out bulb. Use 40W max (E14) bulbs only. 5. Close up the rear extraction grille.

REMOVING AND RENEWING OR WASHING THE GREASE FILTER:
1. Unplug the appliance or switch off the mains power supply. 2. Pull out the stream deflector. 3. Open the rear extraction grille. 4. Remove the grease filter fixing device and renewing the dirty grease filter. 5. After renewing (for paper grease filters) or washing (for metal grease filters) the grease filter, follow the above steps in reverse order to reassemble, making sure the entire extraction surface is covered.
