2. Power unit removal
(1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) (8) Open the front cabinet. Push the open button, and lift upper frame unit 1. Remove the rear cabinet. (Refer to [10]-1, Cabinet removal.) Disconnect two connectors 2 from upper frame unit 1. (Refer to Fig. 3) Remove four screws in torsion bar sections. Seperate upper frame unit 1 from lower frame unit 3. Remove transfer corona unit . (Refer to [10]-3, Transfer corona removal.) Remove three connectors 4 from the paper feed solenoid and the fusing section. (Refer to Fig. 1)

Remove the tapping screws which are fixing the power unit to lower cabinet 9. Remove tap tight screws which are fixing the power unit to the frame chassis, and remove the power unit. (There is no need to remove the paper feed solenoid.)

Remove the upper frame unit. (Refer to [10]-2, Power unit removal.) Remove the three screws. Push pawl A with a screwdriver (�) and lift the unit. Push pawl B with a screwdriver (�) and lift the unit.

(Fig. 1) The upper frame unit can be removed. The upper frame unit can be placed on a level surface because the lower portions of the left cabinet and the torsion bars provide enough space to protect the drum.
