T Disc Configuration (Read only)
The DVD-ROM disc is designed so that two thin discs are pasted together. The result is that both sides can be recorded on. Also, by employing a transparent adhesive and a semi-transparent reflective film, a dual-layer configuration recording method has been achieved which allows both sides of a disc to be played using a single pick-up on one side. The appearance of the DVD is identical to the CD, and many DVD players are compatible with CDs.
