Clean the transfer roller. a Remove the transfer roller unit by lifting the lock lever at the right end of the transfer roller unit until the unit is freed, and then lifting the unit out. Using a dry cotton cloth, clean any paper dust and toner buildup from the transfer roller. Note: Manually rotate the roller while cleaning it. Reinstall the transfer roller in the transfer unit. Remove the paper discharger by pushing it to the right and then lifting it up and out of the transfer unit. (It comes out after the tabs on the charger have cleared their retainers.) Using a dry cotton cloth, clean any paper dust and toner buildup from the outside of the paper discharger. Using a dry cotton swab, clean any paper dust and toner buildup from the interior of the paper discharger.
