AUTOMATIC WASHER WARRANTY
FULL ONE YEAR WARRANTY
THE MANUFACTURER warrants this automatic washer, to consumer* only, against defects in material or workmanshipfor a periodof one year from the date of itsoriginalpurchasebya consumerfor home use, THE MANUFACTURER, will repairor replace,at itsoption,any automaticwasher whichevidences, withinthe warrantyperiod,a defect in materialor workmanship.

LIMITED WARRANTY Second Through Tenth Years
During the period beginningwith the expirationof the full one year warranty and continuingthroughthe tenth year after date of originalpurchaseby a consumer,THEMANUFACTURER, will: 1. Replace or repair any transmissionthat has failed as a result of defective material or workmanship. See reverse side of this certificate for illustration of parts covered by this limitedwarranty. 2. Repair or replace any tub that has failed as a resultof defectivematerial or workmanship.

Owner will pay for mileage, and/ or transportation,if requiredfor service, and all labor costs.

TERMS APPLICABLE TO ALL WARRANTIES
EXCLUSIONS THE MANUFACTURER'S OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXTEND TO ANY MALFUNCTION OR OTHER PROBLEM CAUSED BY: 1. Unreasonableuse, such as but not limitedto: (a) Impropersettingof controls(see owner'sguide). (b) Improperinstallationincluding failure to conform to local electricalcodes. (c) Impropervoltage supply,loose electricalconnectionsor blown housefuses. 2. Circumstancesnotattributableto a defect in materialor workmanship. 3. Parts notcovered bythe limitedwarranty, duringthe limitedwarranty period. 4. Unauthorizedrepair,alteration,modification adjustment. or TO SECURE WARRANTY SERVICE Contact your local dealer for referral to an authorized warranty servicer, or contact MAYTAG CUSTOMER SERVICE, P.O. Box 2370, Cleveland, TN 37230-2370. To save time, your letter should include the complete model and serial number of the warranted appliance, the name and address of the dealer from whomyou purchasedthe appliance,the date of purchaseand detailsconcerningyourproblem. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IN NO EVENT SHALL THE MANUFACTURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SUSTAINED BY ANY PERSON AS A RESULT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY UNLESS HEREIN OTHERWISE PROVIDED. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATIONS OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
