FRONT PANEL - INPUT SECTION 1. INPUT 1 jack accepts a standard 1/4� phone plug and is controlled by the setting of the Volume 1 knob (#3). 2. INPUT 2 jack also accepts a standard 1/4� phone plug but is controlled by the setting of the Volume 2 knob (#4). 3. VOLUME 1 controls the overall sound level for Input 1. (At high volumes you may wish to reduce the level of the Low control, #5.) 4. VOLUME 2 controls the overall sound level for Input 2. (At high volumes you may wish to reduce the level of the Low control, #5.) EQUALIZATION AND OUTPUT 5. LOW adjusts the bass range of the amplifier. Due to the large amounts of low frequency energy available, you may wish to reduce the setting of this control at high volumes. 6. LOW MID tends to add a �thicker� or �fatter� characteristic to the sound. 7. HIGH MID determines whether your sound is �harsh and piercing� or �distant and muffled.� 8. HIGH controls the upper range of frequencies and adds brightness. 9 EXTERNAL SPEAKER jack is for connecting an extension speaker to the unit.
WARNING: DO NOT attempt to use headphones in the Speaker jack! Permanent hearing damage could result!
10. HEADPHONE/LINE OUT jack will accept a standard headphone plug for private practicing. The speaker is automatically disconnected when headphones are plugged in here. A line level signal can also be obtained from this jack for recording, etc. 11. POWER �ON� INDICATOR LED will be lit when the unit is turned on. 12. POWER switch turns the AC power on and off. REAR PANEL 13. POWER CORD: Your KX-15 is equipped with a heavy-duty grounded three-wire power cord. Be sure this cord is properly plugged into a safelywired, grounded 120 volt, 60 cycle AC power outlet. (If your KX-15 was purchased outside of the United States, refer to the rear panel for power ratings.) For your safety, never attempt to defeat the ground connection on this cord.
