Troubleshooting
What appears to be trouble is not always serious. Check the following points before calling a service center. MP3/WMA Disc playback FM/AM General
Symptoms
� Sound cannot be heard from the speakers. � The unit does not work at all. � SSM automatic presetting does not work. � Static noise while listening to the radio. � Disc automatically ejects.
Remedies
� Adjust the volume to the optimum level. � Check the cords and connections. Reset the unit (see page 2). Store stations manually. Connect the aerial firmly. Insert the disc correctly.

Skip to another track or change the disc. (Do not add the extension code <.mp3> or <.wma> to nonMP3 or WMA tracks.) Do not use too many hierarchies and folders.
� �NO DISC� appears on the display. � Disc cannot be played back.
� Noise is generated.
� A longer readout time is required (�CHECK� keeps flashing on the display). � Tracks cannot be played back as you have intended them to play. � Elapsed playing time is not correct.
� Playback order is determined when the files are recorded. � This sometimes occurs during play. This is caused by how the tracks are recorded on the disc. Insert a disc that contains MP3/WMA tracks. � This unit can only display alphabets (capital: A � Z), numbers, and a limited number of symbols.
� �NO FILES� appears on the display. � Correct characters are not displayed (e.g. album name). 22
