1-1. Internal Switch Settings

Aspect Ratio Setting Switches The switches explained here are used to select the aspect ratio for the output signals or to make various mode settings. Settings of S21, S27, S43 and S44, however, are activated only when the switch S25 (above-mentioned) is set to �LOCAL�. S26 is activated only when the unit is put into the LB mode regardless of S25 setting.

S27: EC POSI CENTER/VAR

Selects the way to crop out part of the picture when S21 is set to �EC�. CENTER: Cuts out the center of picture VAR (VARIABLE): The position where the picture is cropped out is variable by using S43 and S44 Factory-set position: VAR
S43: EC-POSITION COARSE S44: EC-POSIITON FINE

Selects the aspect ratio from the next 3 modes. SQ (SQUEEZE) LB (LETTER BOX) EC (EDGE CROP) Factory-set position: EC

Determines the cropped-out positions when S27 is set to �VAR�. Make a coarse adjustment by S43 and then make a fine adjustment by S44. Factory-set position: S43 � 8 S44 � 0
S26: LB 360/364

SQUEEZE

Selects the number of lines in an image area when �LB� is selected by S21 or by remote control. 360: 360 lines 364: 364 lines Factory-set position: 364
