INSTALLATION MANUAL

Installation
This product complies with the EMC Directives (89/336/EEC, 92/31/EEC) and CE Marking Directive (93/68/EEC). Note:
� Before finally installing the unit, connect the wiring temporarily, making sure it is all connected up properly, and the unit and the system work properly. Use only the parts included with the unit to ensure proper installation. The use of unauthorized parts can cause malfunctions. � � Consult with your nearest dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or other modifications of the vehicle. Install the unit where it does not get in the driver�s way and cannot injure the passenger if there is a sudden stop, like an emergency stop. Be sure to stick on the antenna securely. Failing to do so may result in the danger of it becoming detached while the vehicle is moving. To assure the antenna is securely mounted, stick it on the weather is fine. If you mount it when conditions are humid, or when it�s raining or misty, the double-sided tape will adhere less securely, and the antenna may easily come off. Do not touch the sticky surfaces of the doublesided tape or stick the tape on a surface more than once as this reduces the tape�s adhesive strength, making it easier for the antenna to become detached. Be sure to clean the surface you are going to stick the antenna to with the supplied cleaner, using a clean cloth to remove all moisture, dirt and oil. Failing to remove moisture and oil may reduce the double-sided tape�s adhesive strength, making it easier for the antenna to become detached. To prevent noise, locate the DAB antenna cable as far away as possible from power cords, speaker cables, radio antenna cable and other cords in the vehicle. Also, when using with a mobile navigation unit, locate the DAB antenna and antenna cord as far away as possible from the GPS antenna and the navigation unit.

� Bevor das Gerät endgültig montiert wird, die Kabel provisorisch anschlie�en, und sicherstellen, da� alle Kabel richtig angeschlossen sind, und Gerät sowie das System richtig funktionieren. Die Anbringfläche für die Antenne unbedingt mit dem mitgelieferten Reiniger und einem sauberen Tuch reinigen. Feuchtigkeit, Schmutz und �l vollständig beseitigen. Feuchtigkeits- und �lrückstände vermindern die Haftfähigkeit des Klebebands, so da� sich die Antenne leicht lösen kann. Um Störungen zu vermeiden, DABAntennenkabel möglichst weit entfernt von Stromversorgungskabeln, Lautsprecherkabeln, Radioantennenkabel und anderen Kabeln im Fahrzeug positionieren. Bei Gebrauch mit einer mobilen Navigationseinheit au�erdem DABAntenne und Antennenkabel möglichst weit von GPS-Antenne und Navigationseinheit entfernt positionieren.

Installing on the roof (Fig. 1)
It is recommended that you install the antenna unit in the center of the rear edge of the roof.

1. Peel off the protective seal, and mount on the roof. (Fig. 2) 2. Route the antenna cable so it reaches the DAB antenna input. (Fig. 3)

Note:
� Secure the antenna cable with the supplied clamp where required. � Install the antenna so it doesn�t protrude from the total lengh/width of the car. � Please install the antenna on as flat a place as possible. � The slit on the rubber fringe of the antenna is for adjusting the angle with the hexagonal wrench. �

Antes de finalizar la instalación de la unidad, conecte el cableado temporariamente, asegurándose de que todo se encuentra conectado apropiadamente, y la unidad y el sistema funcionan apropiadamente. Asegúrese de fijar seguramente la antena. De no hacerlo, puede resultar en daños de que se salga cuando el vehículo se encuentra en movimiento. Para asegurar de que la antena se encuentra montada seguramente, fíjela cuando el tiempo está bueno. Si la monta cuando las condiciones están húmedas, o cuando está lloviendo o con neblinas, la cinta de doble adhesión se adherirá menos seguramente, y la antena puede salirse fácilmente. No toque las superficies de adhesión de la cinta de doble adhesión, ni fije la cinta sobre una superficie más de una vez ya que esto reduce la fuerza de adhesión de la cinta, facilitando así que la antena se salga. Asegúrese de limpiar la superficie en donde va a fijar la antena con el limpiador suministrado, usando un paño limpio para retirar toda humedad, suciedad y aceite. Para evitar ruidos, ubique el cable de la antena DAB tan alejado como sea posible de los cables de alimentación, cables de altavoces, cable de antena de radio y otros cables en el vehículo. También, cuando utiliza con una unidad de navegación móvil, ubique la antena DAB y el cable de antena tan alejado como sea posible de la antena GPS y la unidad de navegación.

Nota:
� Asegure el cable de antena con la abrazadera suministrada en donde sea requerido. � Instale la antena de modo que no se sobresalga del largo/anchura total del vehículo. � Instale la antena en una superficie plana tanto como sea posible. � La ranura en el borde de caucho de la antena es para ajustar el ángulo con una llave hexagonal.
